All your data is stored locally using Chrome's storage API (chrome.storage.local). This means:

5. Permissions Explanation
Social Swipe requests the following permissions:
activeTab
Required to add save buttons to posts on social media websites you visit.
storage
Required to save your posts locally on your device.
scripting
Required to inject the save button functionality into social media pages.
Host Permissions
Access to Twitter/X, Instagram, Reddit, and YouTube is required to add save buttons on these platforms. We only interact with these sites to add the save functionality.
6. Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, rent, or transmit your data to anyone. Period.
Your saved posts never leave your device unless you explicitly export them yourself.
7. Third-Party Services
Social Swipe does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools.
8. Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Export: Download all your data as a JSON file anytime
- Delete: Clear individual posts or all data from settings
- Uninstall: Removing the extension deletes all local data
9. Children's Privacy
Social Swipe does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The extension is intended for general audiences.
